Origins of Local Void

We are a polyfragmented DID system, and we also use the terms "complex system" and "polyplex". The complexity is due to how we are made up of sidesystems and similar structures, and the DID is due to the amnesia and trauma that has caused problems for us in the past and still causes problems today.

While we experienced early life trauma that likely contributes to why we have amnesia and disordered functions, we do not feel that trauma is the only reason that our system exists, or that major parts of our system exist (e.g. whole superclusters or sidesystems).

We sometimes just say we're a DID system and leave it at that, and we also use labels that describe our functions but since it's interesting to discuss the ways that different factors could have created our system, we have this list of origins, with links to pages for each about how we feel it applies to us.

While the origins of a system don't always matter, and systems are never obligated to share their origins, it can also be useful to have and share this information.

We definitely have DID, amnesia, and disordered functions, but after recovering some childhood memories and learning more about our past, we found evidence to suggest that factors other than trauma may have contributed to the creation of our system. If not, there are some odd coincidences we cannot fully explain.

Furthermore, we like sharing about ourselves because we are interested in personal sites where people with experiences, perspectives, or identities that may be considered unusual explain how they experience those things.
