Who are you?

We are the Local Void, a programmed mixed origins DID system! This site is about us and our system and contains information about us, including some of the more peculiar things about our system.

In particular, we have a complex narrative-based innerworld that is partly programmed and partly the result of an active imagination, such that we have structures called superclusters - systems within the system that contain their own sidesystems - that are all based around one of three traumagenic core selves, as well as sidesystems outside of the core structure, including headmates and structures of non-traumagenic origin.

In our innerworld geography, the three superclusters - Blue's Supercluster, Bryan's Supercluster, and Blixa's Supercluster - are part of something called Inner Voidelia, which is everything that exists on the planet our innerworld is set in. Outer Voidelia consists of a pocket dimension in the atmosphere as well as anything beyond the atmosphere of the planet, including the moon.

What is Voidelia?

Voidelia is the name of the planet, continent, and country that our system comprises of. The Voidelian planet has a single pangaea-like continent, the Voidelian continent, that is magic and can expand as its population grows.

Everything on the planet is considered to be part of Inner Voidelia, which includes the territories of East Voidelia (Bryan's Supercluster), West Voidelia (Blue's Supercluster), and Central Voidelia (Blixa's Supercluster). Outer Voidelia, also known as Beethoven's Firmament, contains old hosts as well as structures that are outside of the superclusters.

Voidelia has a complicated innerworld narrative that we are working on documenting. The narrative is sometimes different in different regions (sidesystems) but usually functions in response to outerworld events, where the innerworld events are, in some way, our brain's way of processing what happens to us.

The area we are in when we front is a giant space station that anyone can teleport to and from at any time. Because of how big the space station is, we can have a large number of headmates front at once.

All of the territories of Voidelia are considered unified and a part of a country called the United Federation of Voidelia, also known as the Voidelian Federation or the VF. The VF is a direct democracy with elements of a federated republic, where headmates take turns serving in government (being in charge of the system) in what we call management shifts. However, different regions within the territories have their own management as well (as they have their own cores and hosts).

What do you do with your time?

As a disabled person with agoraphobia, we spent a lot of time online, but we use that time productively, namely by running a ring of retro web Discord servers called Social Rodent. The link takes you to the official Neocities of the server ring!

We also run a build-a-headmate blog (headmate-ideas) and an ID pack blog (rats-nest-id-packs). We also spend time answering questions about RAMCOA both on Discord and occasionally on Tumblr at our blog programmed-headmate-ideas.

We are fictoromantic and our main partner, an OC named Troy Reiner, is someone that we often talk about like he's real and imagine him going places with us in our everyday life. We also consider Thomas Jerome Newton (The Man Who Fell to Earth) to be one of our fictional partners.

Things we do offline include going to karaoke, movies at a local theater, and visting local nature trails. We may not talk a lot about our offline life on this site due to remembering a time when online and offline were separate, but we very much have a life offline.

We also spend a lot of time maintaining our websites, as retro web and being a webmaster are important to us. Check out this page on Kino's personal site that lists all our sites!

What else can I learn about you?

Our system is very well-documented on this site, as well as on our other sites, a list of which can be found here. If you have any questions about us, check the linked page. Also check the disclaimers, especially the content warnings. If you share a space with us or follow us on social media, this page of things to know might be helpful.

Otherwise, there are many pages of info about us, as well as more pages of miscellanea.

To keep up with updates about the system, check out this site's updates page and/or Kino's Neocities blog here.
