Unification

In 2013, we became aware of a system that we felt only started to exist that year but that, in 2015, we concluded likely formed due to early childhood trauma that we remembered but didn't realize was traumatic.

In 2025, we realized that, due to some of our behaviors and complexes, it was reasonable to believe we had trauma and memories that we were completely unaware of, and we then started getting back headmates who remembered being in the system during times before we were aware of or even suspected a system.

We determined that, due to trauma early in life, we dissociated into three core selves - Blue, Bryan, and Blixa. The last was not intended to have amnesia or complex dissociation, but the first two dissociated into more parts, some of which were based around complex narratives and some of which had not seen the outerworld until Blixa's part of the system discovered them. Blixa's part of the system is less amnesiac but it exists due to unexpected trauma in early adulthood that solidifed this newly-split part of the system as the main users of the body until 2025.

Our headspace takes the form of a planet/continent called Voidelia, and while we can explain things in terms of psychological processes, we prefer to explain them in terms of the innerworld history and as though our system is a country. One reason for this is that, due to dissociative amnesia associated with trauma, there are some situations where we don't actually know for sure what happened in the outerworld, only the innerworld.

When we talk about our system as though it is a country, we call it "planetspeak", and when we talk in a more literal way, this is "earthspeak". Our system tends to prefer planetspeak due to generally finding it more streamlined, but we understand earthspeak is more understandable to most people, even if it makes talking around certain things harder.

We are planning a much more extensive website about the Unification that is mostly written in planetspeak but contains pages giving as much information as needed to understand all of it.
