When we were a kid in the days of the old web, we thought people who made websites were the coolest people ever, and we looked up to all these amateur sites we found on Geocities and similar platforms. We experimented with HTML, but mostly just for Neopets pet pages, and we never made anything elaborate.

Then, in 2024, the announcement of the closure of website Cohost (which we were on at the time) caused its userbase to decide to make personal sites on Neocities instead.

While we had not made a personal site until then due to not knowing what to put on it, we were aware of our system by that time and had a Rentry that our Discord bio linked. It occurred to us that we could just make a website that had the Rentry information on it.

We did that, then began adding more - basically just whatever fun information about ourselves we don't find too personal to share on a public site.

Then our site started becoming an important resource, either for showing new people we met to explain certain things about us, for showing our therapist to help her keep track of what headmates we have, or for newly-recovered headmates to refer to when trying to understand certain facts about our system.

"Webmaster" is a term our system uses as a role/job to describe anyone responsible for the upkeep and updating of our websites, and possibly our Tumblr blogs, at least the ones that are based on fulfilling requests. However, it is also what we see our web design hobby as, and that we have now become the same kind of cool people we looked up to on the old web.
