Sapphicplurid

Despite collectively being a gay man who is not attracted to women, we also partly identify as sapphic. It's not a primary term, and most of our veldians are not sapphic or lesbians, but collectively speaking, the system is.
This is in reference to the fact that, while we are not a butch lesbian, we have a personal history of being one in the past, and this influences how we feel about our gender today, even though that was long ago.
Additionally, Blue's Supercluster is collectively a lesbian, and while we don't prioritize their identity in the collective as much as we do the commonalities Blixa and Bryan do have with each other, it's also important that some elements of Blue's identity are respected in the collective, and it also indicates why we talk about having lesbian relationships in-system.
Additionally, we present in a way that we feel does resemble an androgynous-leaning butch lesbian. We don't really consider it invalidating to be told we look like a lesbian as long as the intent isn't to suggest that us being male is inferior - i.e. if you're making the comparison purely for aesthetic reasons and you don't have a low opinion of either butch lesbians or people of our gender, that's fine.
The way we are personally wired, we basically see all relationships we are in as gay. This normally defaults to some form of veldian, due to our preferences, but there are also situations where non-lesbians may feel that some of their relationships are conditionally sapphic or lesbian, e.g. an agender masculine person with an agender feminine person. This tends to feel more like a butch4femme lesbian relationship to us than it does a straight relationship OR a veldian relationship.
The reason our system isn't collectively lesbian - even if some parts are - is because we personally usually define "lesbian" in a way that does not include us as a collective. While we don't police what other people call their identities, we find it more useful to use these words for categorizing ourselves and understanding each other as headmates if we, as a collective, have a consensus on what words do and don't mean.
While we do believe that the meanings of words can be expanded over time and can be bent a little, especially if you use a label like "mspec" in front of "lesbian", our system still personally chooses to define lesbian, for us, in a way that normally does not include men who are not women and who are attracted to men and not women.
However, we DO define "sapphic" in a way that includes genderqueer men/mascs who are not normally attracted to women but who do engage in some types of relationship - e.g. kink or queerplatonic - with women-aligned, feminine genderqueer, or mspec sapphic people.
Therefore, some members of our system who do not go out of their way to have relationships with women or people with similar genders still conditionally consider themselves sapphic if they're in a relationship that they feel is more like a lesbian relationship than veldian relationship. This reduces confusion they may have over why some of their relationships feel a certain way and giving them access to some concepts associated with lesbian relationships while not detracting from veldian as the main gay component of their identity nor using "lesbian" in a way that doesn't make sense to them.
