His name is a reference to the book/movie "The Man Who Fell To Earth", featuring an alien from Mars who goes on a mission to save his home planet that requires him to live among humans pretending to be one of them, which leads to isolation, depression, and alcoholism. FellToEarth is jointly owned by Venn and Pulsar (who are both fictives of Ford Prefect), but heis mostly Pulsar's.
